Privacy & listing terms

This signup site collects applications for the NearNow creator directory. Business discovery is not available on this site yet.

What we collect

Your creator name, profile photo, Instagram handle, private email, location, languages, content category, optional introduction, prices, collaboration preferences, selected business contacts, optional content links, and any promotion examples or audience details you provide. When you authorise an Instagram connection, we also obtain your account ID and username, and where available your follower count and Instagram profile photo. We also record your consent, submission date, and campaign-source tags from the signup link.

How your details are used

NearNow stores and reviews applications to prepare creator listings. We use your private signup email for a transactional submission confirmation when email sending is enabled. It is not a marketing subscription. Submitting does not automatically publish your information. If your listing is approved and business access opens, your profile and selected business contacts may be shown to subscribed businesses as you consented. Your private email is not a listing contact unless you explicitly select it as your business contact.

Accuracy and your content

You must own or be authorised to represent the account you submit. Provide accurate prices and information. Audience location and promotion results are creator-reported. Follower counts are accepted only from Instagram’s API and shown with a check date; missing counts are not replaced with zero. Account connection confirms control of the account, not the authenticity of its followers. You permit NearNow to display the profile information, photo, and links you submit for directory discovery. Linking your work does not transfer ownership of that content or grant brands advertising usage rights.

Contact and removal

You can request correction, removal, or withdrawal of listing consent using the form below, quoting your Instagram handle and submission reference if available. Your contact email and request are kept private for processing. We may ask for proof of account ownership before changing a listing.

Storage and security

Application data is stored in the site’s database, and uploaded profile photos in its object storage, accessible through an owner-restricted dashboard. Uploaded photos are resized in your browser into a square JPEG without original metadata. We retain submissions for review and listing preparation until removed or withdrawn. Short-lived hashed request identifiers are used to limit repeated submissions and expire within two hours. Instagram connection uses short-lived, one-use state and a 30-minute HTTP-only connection cookie. Your Instagram access token is used in server memory for the connection request and is not saved or returned to your browser. Temporary state and connection records expire and are cleaned up on subsequent connection attempts. If you leave for Instagram during signup or profile editing, a draft may be kept in this tab’s session storage for up to an hour. Edit drafts are tied to your profile and revision, and cannot be restored into a different account or newer profile. Drafts are cleared after successful saving or creator sign-out. Following Instagram is optional; we do not verify follows. No social-account passwords or bank details are requested.

Creator profile access and emails

A connected Instagram account can access its own submitted profile through the creator dashboard. Account proof expires after 30 minutes and sign-out revokes the current proof. Profile edits are versioned to prevent one tab from overwriting newer changes and return the application to review. Your private signup email cannot be changed in the editor; use the request form for corrections. Email requests and provider acceptance status are stored privately. When enabled, Resend processes the recipient address and confirmation message on our behalf. We do not send your business-contact phone, prices or profile photo in the confirmation email. Failed or uncertain email sending does not undo a saved profile.

Registration measurement

We record a registration-success event only after your profile is saved. This internal event contains a reference, timestamp and test status, not your name, email or phone number. Third-party Meta advertising measurement is not enabled on this site yet.

Collaborations

NearNow enables discovery. Businesses and creators are responsible for their agreements, payments, content, disclosures, and delivery. There is no guarantee of listing approval, enquiries, promotion results, or brand deals. This initial signup accepts creators aged 18 and over.

Third-party links

Instagram links open a third-party service with its own terms and privacy policy. When enabled, the optional Instagram connection asks for basic access to your professional account through Instagram’s official authorisation page. NearNow never asks for your Instagram password. When connection is enabled, it is required to complete a new creator submission; while setup is pending, applications can be held unverified and are not eligible for publication.
